Should I join the Army of Air Force?

I'm 24, in pretty good shape. I can do a decent amount of pull-ups, push-ups and what not. Just need to work on the cardio a bit.

I have a Bachelors degree in Social Sciences. Back when I was graduating, my buddy whom was graduating with the same degree was going to reenlist to the Army. He stated he would be a much higher rank due to the degree.

I have a decent paying job but I can't stand it. I'm sure I can do something that pays just as much and not nearly hate it but I feel like I should do something better with my life than just working some regular job.

Where I live (Southern California), all my buddies that did join the military signed with the Marines. About 80% after their 4 years have little to show for it so I don't think I want to go with the Marines.

I don't want to join the Navy. I'm sure there are plenty of other things to be done other than being on a boat for months on end but that's what I think about when I think of the Navy. Might be naive on my part so maybe someone can enlighten me.

So...that leaves me with the Army or Air Force. I'm pretty unbias about these two branches.

I want to join the branch that will better my life after the 4 or 5 year contract is done. I don't think I would become a lifer and do 20 years. I can care less about the pride factor because all my Marine buddies joined the Marines due to the pride factor and most of them regard joining.

AIR FORCE! I was in the Army for 7 years, it's not that great! You will live better and be happier in the Air Force, but it's much harder to get into. You have to offer them something, in way of your education or other training. They have a "one in" policy, so if you decide to leave them it will be for good.

The Army will just disappoint you, you will become depressed, become disillusioned and turn into a douche bag just like every other officer. Air Force!
