should I have the tranny flushed on my 99 dodge ram 2500 w/ 134k on it?

The shop I take it to recommends it, but I've heard from others that if I have it flushed, I can say goodbye to the tranny in three or four months.
 
I assume it is an automatic transmission, check the oil and see if it looks clean or not. It should be a clear dark pink, and if/when it becomes dirty you should have it changed. It is important to change it, say, at least every 150,000 miles. Take it to a reputable place you trust. I use the oil change place and they do a fine job. No problems.
