heyy. so i've been with my boyfriend since i was six years old. he asked me to be his girlfriend in first grade 
we both turned seventeen recently, we're both in eleventh grade. he's like my best friend, and we tell each other everything. i know people say you don't know what love is when you're a teenager, but we really do love eachother.
we have never had sex before, but we have done other things. we've come close to having sex a few times, and i've always been the one to stop it. the last time we almost did it was a few months ago. just last week, he asked me if i wanted to come over his house this upcoming saturday (in two days), and his parents weren't going to be home that whole week. i knew he meant that he wanted to try to have sex with me.
he says he's ready, but i just don't know if i am. i mean, i want to, and not just for the "sex" part of it. i see it more as a huge step in a relationship that i'm ready to take, but i just don't know if i'm mentally ready to lose my virginity. does that make sense, at all?
i haven't told him yet that i might not be ready. should i tell him?
i don't know what to do.
