After reading about the controversies and the fact that my dentist lied to me about there not being mercury in the filling I am thinking about having it removed but I don't know if I should have it done by the same dentist or should I go to an alternative mercury free dentist? He said it was a silver filling but all fillings have 50% or more mercury unless they changed it. I have had it for about a year now and I am in my 20s. Do you think my insurance would cover at an alternative dentist for a mercury free filling? For now since I am stuck with it is there anything I can do to protect myself from the mercury entering my body?
