I was at the gym about 2 weeks ago when I got this terrible muscle spasm in my stomach area. It pretty much felt like someone was grabbing all of my muscles in my stomach area with all of their strength, and pulling them in all different directions. It was a terrible and painful experience. I've also been feeling what feels like tiny muscle spasms in my stomach for the past month or two; they're not painful, just a feeling pretty much. My dr. ordered an ultrasound, xray, and blood work to do, and I should get the results back in about a week. I looked up some information about muscle spasms online, and I figured out that I probably got it from lack of stretching or not drinking enough water. After seeing this I really don't think it's that big of a deal if I go back to the gym, but my dr. told me not to. I really, really want to hurry up and get back into the gym because I have a lot of weight to lose for my wedding and I finally feel like I have the discipline to do it, what should I do?
