Should I go to grad school or work?

I'm waiting to hear if I got into a masters of library and information science program that may or may not end up in a job one or two years from now.

I'm also waitressing, since my bachelor's degree hasn't gotten me anywhere. I'm also in the running for an additional part time job that actually does sound like a good oppertunity for expirience. But it is only part time, no benefits, and I'll still be waitressing.

on top of it all... I need to decide this week. My friend has an open room I can take if I don't get into grad school or if I decide not to go... but her other roommate is trying to fill it asap since they need the money. And, it's a good place in a good location with lots of people our age that is also affordable. And I also don't have a very long list of potential roommates otherwise.

Reasons to go to grad school: to retrain and gain some new skills to finally land me a decent job. The school / program in question is one of the best in the state and is highly nationally ranked. And from what I've heard from people who have majored in other things, the school is decent at helping their grads find jobs.

Reasons not to: everyone is going to grad school right now, and it's not like libraries are hiring left and right either, which means I would need as many technical skills as possible to land me a job in the information feilds. Also, it's a lot of debt to take on and with no job placement garuntees. Also, working and gaining real expirience waitressing and / or this *potential* oppertunity I'm hoping for could serve as a stepping stone to new oppertunities in the future with out the debt / moving hours away from everyone I know in order to go to school.

any thoughts?
an additional question: what are the current job prospects for recent MLIS grads?
