I'm 24, Army Prior service, I got out three years ago, and now have a Bachelors in Film. I tried making it in Los Angeles, but times are tough so I might have to go back into the service.
If so I want to be a Public Relations officer. I talked to both recruiters, and they told me I can't pick a job, they pick one for me depending on my Degree and performance in OCS.
The only reason I'm considering the Marines is because I'm from San Diego, and want to be stationed at Camp Pendleton.
But since I can't pick my job, there's a chance I won't be. But than again the majority of Army bases are in small hick towns, and I hate small towns.
What should I do? I want to be stationed in a nice place like San Diego, I don't care if I have to deploy six months at a time, it's better than being stuck in some small town like lawton, oklahoma.
Advice?
And just incase, Yes both services are accepting prior service for OCS.

I told an O-3 captain off, I told my E-7 I wanted to fight him, I told off a Drill Sergeant at a gas station. I know when to pick and choose my battles. I know I'm gonna be yelled at if I go, but as long as it's justifiable I'd understand. But if it's something out of line. I will write down that persons name, find out where they live, who they're related too, their phone anything. I will get even.
