Heres my question, for those of you familiar with the difference between RN and LPN nursing... I just finished my schooling and became a licensed pratical nurse in December. However before I went to the year long boot-camp-like schooling, I had started at another college doing all of my pre requiste classes to obtain my RN. The reason I stopped there was because it would take 2 years to get my rn and only take ONE to get my LPN, and would have me working and making more money sooner. So alas, I have graduated and have an absolutely wonderful job at an upscale retirement community, a place everyone TRIES to get into. However my issue is that I would have to go PRN (as needed, with no set schedule) there to go back to school to get my RN, and if I don't start back in 2009 I will begin to lose some of those credits I earned before. I really love my current job and don't want to lose the position, but I feel it would be silly NOT to go back to college and finish up my RN ( I only have 3 semesters of just nursing classes). So I'm really just unsure what to do. I'm 23 years old, getting married one month from tomorrow, and have no children... some people are telling me I should go ahead and go back to school right away, others say to wait... its hard though, I'm paying for all my schooling (with fiances help) and am really enjoying being able to CURRENTLY pay bills...I hate to go back to school, back to debt, and lose a great job...help
