Should I give Canadian Tire HELL, or should I go to Toyota and have it done right?

A few months ago I bought 3 new tires and one new 'OEM' rim from Canadian Tire.
I had 2 of the new tires installed on the original TOYOTA rims and I put them onto the car and everything was fine, the original Toyota hubcaps fit onto the original Toyota rims just fine, just like they did originally.

Now a few months later I decide to install the 3rd tire on the back because the old tire there has finally lost most of its treads so I figure its time to put the new tire on there. To my surprise my Toyota wheel covers don't fit the Canadian Tire OEM rim, they stick out about 1/4 of an inch !!! When I bought that rim I specifically asked for an "OEM" rim so that my hubcap would fit and I even paid $35 extra for it too !

I have the bill of sale but that was way back in the summer. I doubt Canadian tire would honor it now after so much time has passed.

I know that if I go to Toyota and buy a new rim then my hubcaps will fit for sure, but a Toyota rim will cost me $165 (vs the Canadian tire's rim cost of $68.) If I go to Canadian tire then they probably will mess things up AGAIN, make some excuse about how its somehow MY FAULT, and then I will have to go back to them and COMPLAIN AGAIN. Then the whole thing starts again, them messing up and me complaining AGAIN AND AGAIN.

So what's your suggestion? Should I just go to Toyota and have things done right, right from the start , or waste my time and money and frustration with the useless mechanics at 'Crappy-Tire' ?
