So I have 800 to spend on a TV as a gift.
I've narrowed it down to two choices (unless someone has a better idea). My choices thus far ar the Hitachi 42" Class LED-LCD 1080p 120Hz HDTV, LE42S704 or the Samsung 40" Class LED-LCD HDTV 1080p 60Hz , UN40C5000.
Both seem to be good name TVs, have plenty of HDMI ports, and the 2" difference doesnt bother me all that much if one of them is better than the other. I would also consider the SONY BRAVIA 40" 1080p LCD TV KDL-40EX600, though its the price of the 42 but only 40.
