im wondering if i should go for the upgrade and get it...some questions (and i know it hasnt even released yet)
for the previous iphone owners---
did you like the iphone overall? and was it easy to text on?
and was the battery life long enough (i can recharge overnight, im just wondering if it ran down during the day while texting or calling or listening to music)
was it fast on the internet? and how much did the whole package cost?
and was it sturdy? i would get a case for it but i would drop it ALOT

thanks for your help ^.^

Okay, here's the answer to some of them...
did you like the iphone overall?
I adore my iPhone. I am very pleased with my 3G and don't feel pressured to even get a 3GS, much less a 4.
and was it easy to text on?
It is NOT easy to text on because there are no buttons to feel, so no texting as you walk unless you don't care if your text makes any sense at all.
and was the battery life long enough (i can recharge overnight, im just wondering if it ran down during the day while texting or calling or listening to music)
The battery life of the iPhone 4 is supposed to be:
Talk time:
Up to 7 hours on 3G
Up to 14 hours on 2G
Standby time: Up to 300 hours
Internet use:
Up to 6 hours on 3G
Up to 10 hours on Wi-Fi
Video playback: Up to 10 hours
Audio playback: Up to 40 hours
I've learned from my own phone that these are just estimates-- depending on what I'm doing the battery might drain much faster, so I keep a charger in my car and one in my bag.
was it fast on the internet?
It's not very fast on the 3G network if that is heavily burdened, but I've been on some wifi networks that were pretty fast.
and how much did the whole package cost?
I can't remember, because not only do you pay for the phone, you pay an activation fee, we paid the first and "last" month, we had mulitple lines for two different phones etc-- but you can go to an AT&T store and discuss this with them.
and was it sturdy?
Yes and no-- I've dropped mine onto a concrete driveway and chipped the back and corner up pretty bad. I was lucky that I didn't crack the screen, because that is probably the #1 problem besides moisture damage with the iPhone. And the iPhone 4 doesn't (yet) have full cases, just this bumper guard like a rubber band that runs along the outside edge and doesn't even cover the back... which is made of glass. Hooray.
