Should I get the iPhone 3GS or iPhone 4?

My mom is going to get me an iPhone for my birthday but I don't know which to get... my mom wants to get me an iPhone 3GS because it's cheaper but I really want the iPhone 4. She said the only thing different is the FaceTime but since I don't know anyone with an iPhone 4 it would be useless...so which should I get?
