I went to three used dealerships today and got the lowest price the dealer would give me on the ones I liked. They all have clean Carfax reports. I have a 1995 Toyota Camry with 212k miles on it that needs replacing. I told them my budget was $14 thousand max but the Honda guy didn't really listen. The prices are without tax/title.

1. 2006 Honda Accord- 22k miles - $14,670
2. 2005 Toyota Camry - 48,000 miles - $13,990
3. 2006 Hyundai Sonata - 34,000 miles - $13,688

They are all fairly basic models with cd player, power windows and locks, and AC and other normal things. The Sonata is a V6 but the others are 4 cylinders.

I plan to have the car till 200,000 miles again. I'm looking for the car that will last the longest at the best price.

Thanks in advance for your input.

Any of the cars would be fine... on the honda you are getting 26,000miles over the toyota for 700.00....12,000miles over the sonata..for 1000.00

the sonata has a v6,which would be nice......

which one felt best, when you drove it?

I would go with the Toyota Camry. Check out consumer reports and they always give Toyota's great results in their test.

My father is a service manager at a Toyota dealer and he has been in the auto industry for years. He loves Toyota's product and swears by them. This is the reason why our newest car we bought is a Scion. Toyota = Quality!
