I plan on using it mostly for HD gaming and Blu-Ray movies. I was told by a very knowledgeable friend that this TV was good, reliable, had all the things I need (HDMI ports, Component input), and lasts a long time. I want to get a 42" due to the fact that I have a small room and need to save space. I'm upgrading from a Dynex 24" LCD TV. Not sure on the model type. It was a hand-me-down gift from a friend.
So, basically, is this the right TV for me? I don't want to pay out the bum for a superb TV, but I want a good quality, reliable, and cost-effective TV for HD gaming and Blu-Ray movies.
Forgot to ask. I see a lot of concerns about "black-level" with Panasonic TV's. What is "black-level" and what can I do to maintain it at a desirable point?
