My dad bought two lots of land from two different people but from the same family. Apparently the title is still in their name and all they need to do is sign some papers so it's put in my dads name. They've had almost two months to do so and haven't. My dad is trying to sell the land and had someone to buy it but because of the people not signing the title over he lost the deal. Would it be best to just get a lawyer for him to get all of his money back that he has put in such as the money he spent buying it, taxes, and appraisal? He lost out on a lot of money from the deal could he get that too? How much would a lawyer cost? Would the people he takes to court have to pay court fees?
