Should i get a new bike?

i ordered a bike a little while ago and its been delayed till now , 1st and 4th september , but im having second thoughts about it if i get it i have no money whatsoever but then get cash for christmas/birthday or i not get it now and get it christmas/birthday.
PLEASE ANSWER PEOPLE, I NEED TO DECIDE URGENTLY.
