Should I get a Jeep Patriot or a Compass?

I need a sporty car with atleast 30 mpg that can handle bad weather and terrain
Any other suggestions?
Also, what's a good car for high school?
 
I drove a Lexus IS 300 in high school, great car. But now I drive a Jeep Commander and its the best Jeep out there in my opinion.
