I was wondering is a honda ruckus is a good buy? I also was wondering what are the rules to drive one on the road...Age, Gear etc. If not, what else is a good scooter/motorcycle close to its price?

A Honda Ruckus is an exceptionally long lasting four stroke scooter. The service manual calls for a 24000 mile service which most scooters will never see. Other than that it is a 49cc scooter that, in some states, you do not have to have a license or insurance to operate so that will save you plenty of money. Its top speed is only about 35 mph but its a great camp ground bike or around-towner. The best part is... its a Honda.... go for it.

These are very good scooters to get and they actually look GREAT. The ruckus is a scooter basically for anyone willing to drive it. With the ruckus you can mod them such as lower it, change the wheels, extend it, and many more customizable things you can do to it. Check out honda-tech and scroll down to the ruckus section, tons of info. on it i'm assuming. All you need is basically a helmet and just wear appropriate clothing because you never know when you could scrape. All you need is to be willing to ride one their for any age. I suggest you buy one, i was 18 when i was going to buy mine for 2300 was the price but, i bought an Integra instead. BTW: You do need a license and insurance the guy above me is wrong. Because if you crash what if it is your fault and you need a regular driving license to show that you can drive a scooter it says it on the class A license. I'm pretty sure you just either don't have to buy license plates or get it registered.
