should i get a ford ranger?

I have a 98 audi a4 quatro. it has 133000 miles on it and runs great. the thing is i am getting married in august and going to nursing school in the fall. I have always wanted a truck. my dad had a ford ranger growing up and i loved it. I am gonna sell my car to get a truck. I was wondering if a ford ranger is a good truck to get. prob around a 99 for about 5000. help me out
 
If you are looking for reliability you should go for a Tacoma instead. Toyotas have a reputation of going well over 200,000 miles with minor repairs and basic maintenance. Ford was not so good in the reliability department 10 years ago. But then it mostly depends on the care taken into maintaining the car. And if you are going to get a 10 year old car, it will probably have a lot of miles on it. But the main thing you want to check before buying any car is that it has had regular maintenance and that it has had all of its major tune ups ad the manufacturer recommended mileage.
