Should I get a blackberry or iPhone?

My dad said he would get me an iPhone the day after my graduation but I am beginning to wonder if I should get a Blackberry instead... They have BBM, (blackberry messaging) and everyone has them but aside from that I'm not sure..

Can you:
1. give the pros and cons of blackberrys + iPhones
2. how is the iPhone touch screen?
3. which would you get?
