it is my birthday next week and i'm not sure what to get. i really want to get a blackberry and it would be ideal for my birthday however my current contract runs out in december when i could get one for free anyway (plus a different birthday present now). if i got one now i could get a nicer one than the curve (which is the only contract one i could get) like a bold and also id get like seven months of being able to use it (away for a month in august). i have about 100 friends with blackberrys, about 20 in school and rest out of school so it would be ideal (bbm). i have some friends i met on a camp who all have it (most of that number) and after summer im probs never gonna see them again cos we are all going on different tours and i will make new friends who have blackberrys haha. so if i get one in december, it wont be used as much as ill have less friends with it. i could get one for free in december and sell it new but not sure if it would work (might only work on my network) and i just generally don't know what to do. any advice lol?

I think to be honest, if you only want a blackberry only to keep in touch, then i wouldnt get a blackberry. There are lots of other ways you could keep in touch, such as MSN FACEBOOK, EMAIL... ect. The blackberry is a good phone for storing things on, and businesses aswell. Blackberrys are good for also holding information, and you can always have something else. But if blackberry seems right for you , then yeah go for it
