...avenue 30,000 miles? I just can't decide and I need to know by tomorrow. The buick is in perfect condition without a scratch on it. It has so few miles because it was an old lady's car and she basically just drove it to the doctors. That one is $2000. The civic has a few dents on it and is going to need a new timing belt, but besides that is fine. They want $2250 for it. Also I've never driven manual before. I need the car for college. Someone help please! And put as many reasons for your decision as you can think of. Thanks!

no question, get the buick. they are very reliable cars and with that fe miles you are stealing it.

the Buick for sure it may not be as cool however have a broken down car all the time is way cooler

Buy the Honda Civic and never look back. They are great cars and it will last MUCH longer than a Buick- no question about it! Those cars are super easy to drive, too. Have someone spend a fews hours teaching you how to drive the clutch, and you'll be a pro in less than a week.

How do you know the Civic needs a timing belt? Is that assumption based on the mileage alone? These cars will run for 10's of thousands of miles over the recommended "timing belt service" listed in the manuals.

Go with the Buick. They are very reliable and with low mileage, it should last a long time. Also, if you do need repairs down the road, parts for gm cars are cheaper price wise.

I have no experience with Buick's, seeing that I hardly see them on the roads anymore. But I do have experience with Civic's, and I know they will last you well into the 200,000 mile range with regularly scheduled tune-ups and proper oil changes.

I would pick the car that you have the most experience with (seeing that you can only drive Automatic is already one over the other).

On another note, I'm sure you can talk the owner of the Civic down to $2000 even. Just tell him you need that extra cash to do maintenance on the vehicle.

Good luck with the buy!
