I'm better now, but I was really sick for the major part of this year. I want to lose 30 pounds. The thing is, in a few months I lost 20 pounds from periodic unintentional starvation. I also be became really weak and I'm sure I lost a lot of muscle mass. I've gained back 10 and I think my metabolism has really slowed down because of low caloric intake from then and loss of muscle mass.
Prior to being sick I lost 70 pounds pretty much through cardio alone and just a tiny bit of toning. I want to lose the las 30, so automatically I think cardio.
But should I focus more on gaining strength first? Will it speed up my metabolism? I was thinking about maybe 10-15 minute cardio warm-ups and then weight training on the machines at the gym after.
Is that a good plan? And how often and how hard should I push myself?
