I have a 1994 Honda Civic with approx. 240K km on it. I've replaced the timing belt, starter, water belt, and small things within the past year adding up to about $2400 in repairs.
Now I think I have to fix the struts and maybe my muffler.
In addition to the $ that this is costing me, I'm sick of the constant trips to the mechanic.
I've calculated that it would me about $6500/ yr in insurance and monthly payments for a newer car. Because I only drive the car 3 times at most every week, I don't think it would be economical to go with this route. At the same time, I need a reliable car for the weekend but have already spent so much on repairs.
I've been debating this for some time. *** PLEASE *** provide some advice.
Thank you so much.
