Should I feed my fish every day?

I now feed them once a week because if i do feed them every day, then the tank gets overfilled with poop. And now theyre so hungry they eat thier own poop. But amazingly they still look healthy. I have tropical fish by the way. So is this healthy or not? I have been feeding them once a week for 3 months now.
I have mollies, swordtails, and neon tetras, all in a 66 gallon tank...
 
What kind of tropical fish do you have?
You should try feeding them at least once every three days. =]

How big of a tank are they in?
It sounds like you don't have a big enough tank. If you had a big enough tank, it shouldn't get so dirty so easily.

Do you have a filter as well? It helps with that. =]
 
yes. you have to feed you're fish every day Cause' if u dont feed ur fish every day..ur fish will died*i think* and dont forgot to clean ur aquarium..
 
i feed mine (my cichliuds notmy badd oscars or piranhas) once every 2 weeks but they get fed 5-6 cubes of the blood worm misquito larve thing and yea ur fine i dont think they eat ther own poo but if u say so then ok but neway there fine once a week is ok just give them a larger amount then u would if u fed them once a day everyday
