Should I ever allow a girl to drive me to a dance party? (I have already asked her out)?

Now this is pretty lame, i called and asked her if we could carpool and she was like oh I will come and pick you up. I was like ok or how about we just go in my car and she was like no that is ok... should I just meet her at the place instead besides carpooling? It looks weird because I am the dude... and I am supposed to drive. By the way she is going with a bunch of friends so it would be wierd for me to tag along....
