Should I drop APUSH?! (AP US History)?

I'm going into Junior year and I'm taking Lit 3, Spanish 3, Algebra 2, APUSH, AP Art History and Chemistry. I got a 103% in History last year. My GPA is 3.67. I can probably get an A in regular US History this year compared to a B, C or D in APUSH. My cousin got into UCSB with a D in APUSH. My friend got into UCI with a C in APUSH. I'm trying to get into a CSU or UC specifically for a career as a nurse or doctor. APUSH requires 4 summer projects. Outline 1st 5 chapters in the book, visit 2 museum exhibits and write essays, read and write 30 quotes from a book based in colonial times and interview someone who fought in a war. I currently have a job right now and need it to save up for car insurance/college. Should I drop it?!
I got a 103% in World Civilizations last year.
World Civilizations. (History)
School starts August 17th, a little more than a month from now. I haven't started the summer projects yet.

If you have the opportunity to take an AP class in High School, you should. APUSH will greatly improve your chances in getting into a better collage, and all AP classes have an altered grading scale.

Usually, AP classes are 1-uped their grades. Getting a B in APUSH is like getting an A in U.S. History.

You might think you are going to get a B or lower, but US History has been already covered in regular History Class.

Do NOT drop the APUSH class, you will do fine if you put in at least an extra 15 minutes of work into it a day.

you should take it, but beware in the beginning! you can get college credit if you pass the end of year exam and looks great for college! i took apush last year, at first it will be very difficult as a warning. our class bombed the first test or too, but afterwards you get used to the work and will do better. the chapters are very long and detailed, so study A TON before a test!! our teacher seemed to be a lot easier throughout the year, but im not sure about any others.
you'll probably do well throughout the year, but don't be too intimidated by the work in the beginning of the year. fyi, a lot of kids will drop out within the first month or so of the class.
good luck!
