so i'm in ap history as a sophmore. but i know its gonna be a lot and id be playing it a lot safer if i just dropped down a level to honors (which is advanced, but not yet a colllege level course as ap is). also id rather wait until next year when im a junior and eligible to do ap english which is what im really good at. the thing is, if i continue ap history this year, i have to do it likewise for the next 2 years.

i dont want to waste my teen years with being in ap the next 3 years and struggling every night (1-2 hours of hw every night). obviously, i want to do good in school and make it to college, but im not that fond of history and dont think its that important to study it so intently for these 3 years.

ive been given a choice- drop it tomorrow and go into an honors history class, or drop it a the end of the term (the first week of november). if i stick it out til the end of the term it will be on my transcript that i did it for a semester, but if i do english ap next year, that willl just be on my transcript.

im confused. should i leave ap tomorrow? the end of the term? not leave at all?

btw:i currently take 3 other honors classes and 2 cp.
I KNOW THIS IS LONG BUT YOUR ANSWERS WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED.
I REPEAT, I PLAN ON TAKING AP NEXT YEAR, FOR ENGLISH.
personal experience of those who have been in high school would also be greatly appreciated.

I think that you should stay in AP Euro. Colleges will look for kids that have taken AP classes, and AP classes help prepare you for college classes in three years.
