Should I do free Accounting School? I really want to major in Economics?

Accounting sucks and I am not a big fan of it. However, the credits (72) in 15 months, would transfer to a 4 year college. With those credits, I would be able to transfer to an economic program. Do you think it's a good idea? I mean, I hate business classes besides economics. In fact, I am an amazing Economic student, I just love the stuff. But, I am thinking because the credits are free, it would make sense to do them. Plus, when I am done I would have a decent job to help me pay for my BS in economics. Does that make any sense? Would a BS in economics with an Associates in accounting be pretty marketable?

I have taken 3 courses in Economics, all A's. So after I am done with accounting school, I would only have to take 4 or 5 more econ courses. But, then I get confused. Maybe I should double major in econ and accounting?

Here is the situation, after the associates program (which will last 15 months) I will have 100 credits. In 1 more year of school I can get 40 more credits. I am just trying to make the most money with the least cost plus do what I love. AH. I am very confused, because this school is free.

I have money right now, about 150,000. I am 24. I just want to do the "right" thing. I am just no positive at how to do it.

My "plan", is to NOT spend any of the 150,000 for awhile, maybe retirement. I want to invent it for 40 years. It would be a decent amount if I did that. I just want to maximize the amount of money I get to spend in life, and am not sure if I am doing the right thing?
I could get a BS degree in Accounting and a minor in economics. I guess that's the best thing to do.
