I will be transferring to a university in fall '10 and I am majoring in physics/astronomy and I will have a gap year of classes at a local university before I got to the university of my choice that has my program. In that time the local university I have to go to for financial reasons only offer a few courses that I can actually apply toward my major, but if I did a minor in CHM there would be more slots to fill for classes so I'm not just taking miscellaneous classes. Would it be a good choice or should I just stick to my merged major?
