My Lord Jesus Christ has saved me from a life of homosexuality and I am wondering if Christians believers feel it would be appropriate for me to discuss this openly at Church, or if I should leave it in the past.
My purposes for discussing it openly would be to discourage young people from getting involved. We could quote Bible scriptures but that doesn't mean our young people will listen. If I could share my personal experience I could discuss the sadness, loneliness, sexual obesession, the coldness of many gay men, the objectification, drugs, and lack of true aspiration in the gay world. I could compare that with the joy of celibacy and chasity I find in my Lord Jesus Christ.
On the other hand in an evangelical church I could see where many people just would not want the subject mentioned at all, even for good reasons. So I guess my question is directed at Christian parents - would you want this subject discussed openly around your children as a way of dissuading them from thinking the gay life is as glamorous as the homosexual propogandists make it out to be?
