When going to my high school in California today, there was a traffic congestion and everyone got off the car, rushing to school. I was very nervously running on the street when I saw people in front of me moving back as some policemen yelled at us to go back to the other side of the street for some reason. I rushed across the street without thinking and the policemen stopped me, giving me a jaywalking ticket.
Should I contest the jaywalking ticket or ask for a drop in the fine?
