Hey guys! So I've liked this guy for three years straight, since 6th grade. We were really close friends then, but when 7th grade came we didn't have classes together so we never talked. 8th grade consisted of small talk, and when my freshman year (this year) started we both agreed to start talking to each other again. We talk more often since we share the same social circle, but we aren't as close as we were. I'm scared that if I tell him he'll never talk to me again, but I hate hiding my feelings. I know for a fact that this isn't infatuation or lust because I like him for his humor, intellect, quirkiness, and other great qualities; physically he's very average, but to me looks don't matter. So should I tell him the truth or continue with life without him knowing?
