Should I chang my diet before exercising?

Im gonna start exercising again fell outta shape real bad, tried getting back into it but it seemed so hard. I weigh about 225, last summer I was 205 I could run 3 miles max which is the best I have ever done, so running 1.5 miles was a cake walk. Now I would be lucky to get in one without feeling like I'm dying.
So my question is would it benifit me to start eating healthy a week or two before I get seriouse about it? Would help any since I would be burning good food instead of junk?
