Should I cancel my meal plan or just stick with it because of the environment of

the dorm? plz help? right now i'm staying in the upperclassmen dorm. It's 3834 per semester at this dorm. It's a semi private dorm. The thing is the dorm is very non-active and i'm a transfer student and have no friends. I can live in this primarily freshmen dorm but it does have an area for transfer students. The double room cost is 3073 per semester. I can go to another primarily freshmen dorm and it also has an area for transfer students and the cost for a semi private dorm is 3718. I hate the cafteria workers (well a lot of them). I told this guy "little syrup" and he puts a lot. I told him I wanted a little. He just gave me another waffle. I think he is not from here but a girl was telling him "a lot of syrup" and he says "good enough?" I don't know. The others will be sarcastic like "no chicken for you", try to hurry you up, etc
SHould I just stay at a dorm that DOESN'T require a meal plan but it would be upperclassmen dorm a lot harder to make friends!!!
 
It shouldn't be harder to make friends...if you are 20 or older you probably dont want to hang out with immature 18 year old freshmen. Just keep your door open when you are in your room and people will start to come over and warm up to you.
