I work in a dementia care nursing home and the folks who live there have contracted scabies.It's rampant throughout the facility, 99% of the residents who live there have the mites and now at least 75% of the staff (including me) have found scabies bites on ourselves.My question is , since none of the head staff seem to be doing anything to treat this among the residents and staff and it's pointless for me to go to the doctor to get treatment because I will just end up re-contracting it as soon as I go back to work the next day,should I call the health department ? Also , is it the responsibility of the company to offer treatment medication cream to the staff members ? No opinions please I have plenty of my own, I need hard facts , thank you !
