I write fiction and I need a good reference book on different types of fairies, something that is well organized and full of fairy "facts" (for lack of a better term), something that will go into thorough detail about the different kinds of fairies.. I have been interested in Katharine Briggs' "An Encyclopedia of Fairies" but since it is out of print, its been impossible for me to get my hands on it to see if it is all its cracked up to be/what I am looking for. It is an expensive book new and I am pretty wary about buying a used copy that I can't actually see the condition of, especially when the cheapest new copies are around $100 and the used are around $20. Could any one give me an idea of weather or not this will be a good investment as writing reference? I really need something very, very in depth.
