Should I buy winter tires or all-season tires for my Jeep?

It's the beginning of February and I am going to Sears Auto Center tomorrow evening to get new tires put on my Jeep Cherokee. I live in an area where we get a substantial amount of snow now and then and I use my 4x4 frequently. But since it's going to be spring should I have winter tires put on my Jeep or all season tires instead? What is the difference in the two? Can I drive winter tires all the time even in spring, summer, fall?

I'd go with an all terrain tire. Something like the Goodyear Wrangler MT/R's or something olong that line. You don't have to have big cleats or anything like that. Your Jeep already has the Quadratrac 4x4 system, which kicks ass. The Goodyear Wrangler GS/A tires that came stock on Wranglers prior to the new body style had a tread that was tighter on the inside than the outside, so they were good at cleaning themselve. I know they still make that tire. When it comes down to it, as long as your tires have a nice tread, you'll have good traction considering what you are driving. Shop around before you go to Sears. make phone calls. I like Goodyear Wrangler GS/A's, or Goodyear MT/R's. Hope that helps.
