Should I buy the T-Mobile My Touch 3G/HTC Magic/ION?

I have been waiting for over a year for a great looking android phone to come out in the US. I have played with the MyTouch 3G at the T-Mobile store and it looks VERY slick and it is VERY snappy. Should I go ahead and pre order it on July 8th? Or keep waiting for a better android phone? I do not want an Iphone, I want Android
