should i buy tampons/pads?

so ive had discharge for a pretty long time now (8 months) and somedays its really heavy. should I buy tampons/ pads??i know that you can have discharge for a while. I havent had my period yet. So whats your opinion?
let me explain this better- if i havent had my period but i have discharge and somedays it heavy so should I get the necessities needed? or should I wait
 
Do NOT use a tampon unless you are on your period, it is very unhealthy. If you are worried about discharge use a pantyline or a pad, those would be fine.
 
I always use both - especially pads/panty liners for leakage and discharge. I use Tampax Pearl for tampons.
