Should i buy an ipod touch or a better cellphone?

for my grade 8 grad present my parents said that i have to get a cellphone no matter what. But i can either get a cheap zero dollar phone and $150(which i would use with some of my money to buy an ipod touch) or just a more expensive cellphone. What do you think i should choose??
 
i reckon you should get a phone with a lot of space and there. You got yourself a ipod touch in a phone. I personally use a n95, i find ipods are over rated.
 
i think you should get the cheaper phone and then get the ipod. The ipod touch is really good and is very fun and easy to use.
 
you could get the iphone which is a more expensive phone and you can get an itouch. i have an iphone and i love it
