I have been looking around for about 2 months now and the bike that I found that I like best is the SV650s. I found a used one for only $4000 dollars. It is a 2006 and only have 1900 miles on it. A lady owned it and does not ride any more. She did drop it once at a stop light, the blinker is broken off...on the 5 mile test ride i took it on it all seemed to run fine. I have a honda rebel right now and i could stick with that for another year but i would prefer to upgrade now while i have the money.
The reason i am asking is that i went into a mechanic and he told me that if a bike is dropped that the clutch could be messed up and if it is it might not show signs of it yet, but when it goes it GOES.
What should i do, i love the v twin aspect of the bike, along with the 650 engine size(i dont want to fly like a squid, i just want highway passing ability) Also the style of the bike is unbeatable in my opinion, and decently comfortable for the 2-3 hour rides i usually would take.
Any advice would be great.
