I've been looking at cars lately since I just wrecked my first car, and i came across a Pontiac Vibe. I'm still in high school, so i'm looking for something reliable and cheap. The Vibe I came accross has 156,000 miles on it; so i'm wondering if this would be a good enough reason not to buy it? Do these cars have any kind of bad history with high mileage?
I know that American cars suck, but this car was built by Toyota... thats the only reason why i'm even interested.

Pontiac Vibes/Toyota Matrix's are very reliable. However, even though it has a Toyota engine, they are not meant to go past 150,000 without major problems. It would really depend on how the car was treated for the first 150,000 miles, for example those repairs may have already come and gone. So if you buy the car don't be surprised if you are footing high repair bills. This is true of most cars BTW. It would be a totally different story if the car only had 100,000 miles on it. Then I would be saying "YES YES YES!"
