Hi i'm 24 and single would like to know which one will be cool for me.And also pls include the model of the bike so i can search for pics of the bike u recommend. Thanks in advance. Will give best answer.

500CC for three reasons.

1. Harley's are expensive. Even old ones. You probably have money to waste and that's great, but insurance, accessories, parts, etc will all be more expensive on an expensive bike. Granted harley's retain their value quite well, but seeing as how this is your first bike make the assumption that you'll improprely care for it, scratch it, drop it, dump it, etc. Stick with something cheaper for your first bike.

2. 500CC bike will be easier for you to handle. They are more nimble and can get out of a *sticky* situation more easily than a heavier bike that has less agility and pickup.

3. You will definitely look cooler on a sportier bike than on a harley at 24 years old. Most young guys look odd on big harleys - unless you are on the large side. I've noticed that girls find sport bikes more appealing.

Check out the Harleys. It doesn't cost to look. Once ya ride one, you'll ether love'em or hate'em.

ive been riding since i was a kid about 50yrs buy what you like to ride not sure go and set on a few bikes your butt will let you know when you sit on it... and it depends on what style you like and what you want the bike to do... i ride a sportser but that is my choice ive been across country four times and long rides it will wear on you so if your driving across town small bike if you plan on long trips get a road bike.. bigger the bike longer you can ride

I agree with Kelly - buy what you want. If you have a jones for a Harley, then get a Harley. The newer HDs are very reliable. There are lots of used Harley's on the market with very low miles that you can pick up for significant discount. Just be sure that if you buy used, don't get one that has had engine modifications. Get a stock one. I'd say look for anything 2002 or newer. The 2006 and newer models came with a 6 speed transmission, which is something I wish I had.

I would classify all HDs as cruiser style motorcycles. Honda, Yamaha, Victory and Kawasaki all make v-twin cruiser style bikes - those are what I would classify as HD wanna-bes. You could pick up one of those for small money.

There are a lot sport bike fanatics on y/a. There is nothing wrong with a sport bike. They are fun to ride, very fast, great on a twisty road. If your thing is speed, then a sport bike would be a good choice. It all depends on what your idea of riding is. If you have friends that ride, then you probably want to get something in the same style they have - to fit in/keep up/not leave them behind.

If you don't have friends who ride most vendors (HD, Honda, BMW...) have some sort of owners club where you can meet people who ride the same brand of bike as you. If you go to their events, you will soon find yourself with a new family.

That's kind of an odd choice, a Harley which will be pretty expensive and at least 883cc or any 500cc bike. I'm about your age, I'm more into cruisers than sport bikes but personally I'm not crazy about Harleys. If I had the money I might buy one but personally I think you can get a much better Jap cruiser for 1/4 of the price of a Harley. I also think Jap bikes ride better and are more reliable. I really like the V-Stars, I think they make a 650. I also like the Suzuki Intruders as well, they are shaft drive which is great.

It all comes up to money and style - if you are into cruisers Harley Davidson is the way to go :) Again, they are VERY expncive... I've seen a lot of my friends getting Sportsters and other HD bikes and keeping them for a year or so but when hard times hit and they are unable to make the payments - they have to sell them and take a HUGE loss or they just default on their loans and have the bikes reposessed :(

For about half of the cost you can get a nice 800cc or 900cc motorcycle that would be great too :)

But again - if money is not the problem for you and you can afford one I'd suggest the Street Bob or the Night Train :) My favourite of the Harley lineup :) Well I do like a lot the Nightster but at 6ft I am a bit too tall for it :(
