Should I buy a Canon XL2 or a Panasonic DVC80?

I've been thinking about getting the XL2 or the XL1S used for a long time. I have 800 dollars saved up now. The DVC80 is fairly cheap used but I can barely find any video footage from it online. The only video I found on youtube looks great but is VERY dark. Please help? I am looking for a cheap PROsumer.
