So ive done some research on this subject and i have not found what i am looking for.. Here is some background. I am 6'2, 220, and have ridden ATV's competitively for several years, i started on an 06 Z400, and have modified it extensively (motor, suspension, controls.. everything) i recently moved to colorado, where there isn't much atv support. I want to switch to MX bikes. I have heard from some guys telling me that a 250 would be better to start with because it would teach me to get my quarter times up and teach how to jump a bike... But other guys say a 450 would would be better for a bigger guy like me that has experience with quads.. I plan on doing a year of getting a grip on how to handle a mx bike, then jumping into the racing scene. Any advice would be great. Thanks!
