It has 42,000 miles on it and it is fully loaded with leather seats and a sunroof. I got the price to $4500. Is it worth it. Will I have problems? Thanks!

That is less than 8.000 miles a year and I dont care what any of you pro jap car people say it is a good deal. My father has a 2000 and has no problems what so ever he has 150,000 miles on it. All he has had to do is breaks and tires and oil changes. So FU Pro Jap car people!

That sounds like a fair price according to Kelly Blue Book. Taurus is a pretty good car for up to about 100k miles. After that, It may or may not hold up well.

I would suggest buying a Honda or Toyota instead. You can get a very decent one for $4500 that will give you much less trouble in the long run.

IF youre specifically looking for a taurus, id go for it. dont listen to people who know nothing about cars and just bash american products. There are more AMerican cars on the road today with over 200,000 miles than japanese cars. Remember its a buyers market, so try and negotiate a price. If you can get it checked out by a mechanic, go for it.

I have one also, but not as loaded. we have 58,000 miles on ours and so far only an O2 sensor replaced at $300, and a couple of ignition coils under warranty a couple of years ago. The rear wheels bearings make a lot of noise, bu tthey always did. I am waiting for the transmission to die any day as it is one of the bad ones from this site...

we got 31mpg on the highway at 75mph all day with the A/C on, so thats good.

Ewe...They''re ugly and break down a lot.
