I currently have a 1996 Honda Accord it runs pretty good and it's a 4 cylinder. The previous owner rebuilt the transmission, replaced the timing belt, and I believe it has newer brakes. I myself put new tires, and gave it a new muflfler and exhaust. It drives pretty good but shifts hard because it's a 4 cylinder automatic. It only has 115,000 miles on it btw. The total cost of buying the car including repairs was $3000. My parents who don't do much driving themselves said they would buy my car for $3000. My question is should I spend $5800 getting a 2001 Cadillac Seville STS with only 89,000 miles. I like most everything about it tinted windows, chrome wheels, leather interior and a V8 engine. Are they reliable? Do their drive trains last forever like a Honda? Would I have to replace the ransmission sometime in the near future?
