Negotiate!
GAS Mileage is a big deal. So the Mazda is probably better.
Do your research.
The dealer probably took the car in on a trade and paid a lot less than the sticker price.
If you are not forced to make a choice right now, wait intil the end of the month when the dealer needs to get rid of inventory to keep their tax payments lower.
I had a friend who went to a dealer with 400 USD and left with a car, title, taxes paid and liscence fees all taken care of because the dealer wanted to get it off the lot.
I once bought a car from a friend who worked at a dealership. She called around and found a good trade in then asked what I could afford. The car was a trade in and needed some repair, but was basically good. The dealership had given 750 for it. My friend sold it to me from her dealership for 1,000 including taxes and title.
Even a good friend who earns very good money gouged me for more than I had.
Good luck, and I hope you do not pay the sticker price.
There are all kinds of things to negotiate. If the car needs any repair, new tires, oil changes...all that stuff. The dealership can make a good package.
If you just want a good price then make an offer that is lower than you imagined...or look up how to negotiate car prices on the internet. BUT DO NOT PAY THE ASKING PRICE, please.
