Should I break in my new Panasonic Plasma VIERA TC-P42S1?

Is it a myth that phosphors require a few hundred hours of operation to "wear in" to the point where issues like: IR/BI or uneven wear become minimized and where the image rendered is optimized?
Should I concern myself with a break-in process for this TV? Or should I just be careful for the first 100 hours and not worry about a break-in DVD or SD card? I'm having this TV delivered today. Thanks in advance.

You don't have to worry about a break in period for your tv. I have purchased a 43" Pioneer Plasma, Panasonic 50" Plasma, 58" Samsung Plasma, 32" LCD, 37" LCD Panasonic and never paid attention on break in periods. Same thing with my projectors both Panasonic. Just enjoy it.

I don't know if I believe that they need break in time but still for the first couple of weeks I keep my brightness and contrast down below 50 % and then adjusted it to my liking. Hey better safe then sorry I guess.
